Blood Video Guide for Patch 7.1.5!
Patch 7.1.5 Hotfixes
is being reduced in damage by 40%. It preposterously outperformed the other talent options during the first week of Patch 7.1.5, so this reduction is warranted.
Changes in Patch 7.1.5
Blood has received some balancing to its talent tree, some small buffs to the base toolkit, and a significant improvement to the way that Bone Shield charges are depleted. There are also nerfs to two Runic Power talents, both to make other options more appealing and to compensate for the increased Heart Strike usage via the improved Bone Shield.
has had its cooldown changed to 2 minutes, down from 3 minutes.
depleted by enemy melee attacks. How much this improves the rate at which Bone Shield gets depleted is very situational, but it is a great improvement to the design overall!
also affect absorbs.
had its recharge rate via Bone Shield consumption changed to 2 seconds, up from 1, to compensate for the new Bone Shield design.
heal for 15% of missing health, up from 5%. An aggressive buff to a still pretty-weak talent.
has had its total leech increased by 130%. This buff has actually made it into a competitive single target dps option.
heals for 2% of total health per tick, up from 1%. A modest buff, and
is still about sacrificing defenses to deal AoE damage.
generates 2 Runic Power per target, down from 3. One of two Runic Power generation nerfs in 7.1.5, and pretty noticeable in AoE.
Marsch der Verdammten
now increases the duration of
by 100%, up from 50%. A very small mobility increase.
Mal des Blutes
heals for 3% of maximum health, up from 2%. A modest buff to a weak talent.
has been slightly redesigned. It now has a cooldown of 4 minutes, up from 3, but the debuff is now cleared upon dying.
now increases the rate at which Death and Decay deals damage by 15%, down from 50%, and causes the casting Death Knight to generate 1 Runic Power per second, instead of increasing all Runic Power generation by 15%. This is a considerable blow to Runic Power generation.
reduces damage by 40%, up from 25%. This makes it a much more appealing defensive cooldown option over the passive talents in the same row.
now only reduces the cooldown of
by 30 seconds, down from 60, but since the cooldown was reduced to 2 minutes baseline, it is still shorter than prior to Patch 7.1.5.
now consumes only 5 charges of Bone Shield, providing the same total benefit at half the cost. It is still the worst talent in the tree and should be avoided like death. Err, life?
Wille der Nekropole
reduces damage taken by 35%, up from 20%. While the talent has received a massive increase in potency, its primary issue is the small window in which it is active. As such, it is more usable, but still not great.
