More in-depth information about stats can be found in the
Brewmaster Gear Guide
Gearing in Legion has been greatly sped up via World Quests, Dauntless and Relinquished Tokens from Nethershards, Heroic Dungeons, and PvP. Check out our
Legion Gearing Before Raids
guide to find which method would best suit you. Gear can also randomly gain bonus item levels (Warforging and Titanforging), so a fresh 110 could reasonably get significant upgrades from pretty much any source of loot.
Because of the random nature of legendaries, if you get any, you're getting some value from them. When you get more than 2, check out our
Brewmaster Gear Guide
for a general ranking of all of our legendary items. As a good piece of advice, make sure you don't sell or get rid of the item you replace with your legendary when you first get it, in case you get a better legendary and want to replace it.
Because of how Artifact Knowledge and other catch-up systems work in Legion, if you start now, you'll be able to get a lot of Artifact Power very quickly and breeze through the first initial 34 traits. For the sake of it, below is the basic recommended acquisition path for your pre-empowered artifact traits.
empower your weapon
(requires unlocking the Broken Shore, reaching AK 26, and completing a short questline):
Check out our
Tips for Alts Guide
to learn about Legion's catch-up mechanisms and make sure to complete your Class Hall questline for your
third Artifact Relic
slot. If you already have another character at 110 and AK 30 or higher, just send the BoA Artifact book over to your alt to give them a high boost. If you have a character with AK 40, you can instantly catch your alt up to the same.
Here are your basic offensive and defensive priorities for Brewmasters. For more information, check out the
Brewmaster Rotation Guide
- Use when above 65 energy to avoid capping. Try to avoid going below 40 energy.
- Maintain 100% uptime on this ability. The uptime caps at 3 times a single cast's duration, so don't spam.
- Use when Stagger is dangerous and when you won't lose
Gabe des Ochsen
- Use to heal.
