Secondary stat priorities
Agility > Mastery >= Critical Strike >= Versatility > Haste
The most valuable stat for feral is Agility, the rest of the priority shifts between the other stats depending upon your current gear. Haste will typically lag slightly behind the other stats on single target however in some gear it may even be the best secondary. The best rule of thumb for gearing is to take the highest ilevel gear.
- Thrash now generates 1 combo point if it hits at least 1 target.
- Shred and Swipe deal 15% increased damage for each Bleed effect you have on the target
One thing to note about the set bonus is that it does not interact with the

It is really important to recognize that this is
a Best in Slot list. This time around our secondary stats are balanced so close together that to be honest "higher ilvl" is almost always going to be an upgrade. Getting Crit up as high as possible at the start will help smooth out the rotation. Quick note - Haste becomes our best stat if you are running a Brutal Slash build for AoE. This however is very bad for single target or cleave, so not something I would advise gearing for until you have geared up using the normal stat weights.
Kapuze des Astralhüters
Belerons Halsreif des Elends
Mantel des zerrissenen Himmels
Zerfetzter Schwingenschutz des Schreckenslords
Robe des Astralhüters
Armschienen der unmöglichen Entscheidungen
Handschuhe des Astralhüters
Wickel des hohen Schattenrates
Gamaschen des Astralhüters
Mokassins des Haingärtners
Juwelenbesetztes Signet der Zauberklinge
Ring des ausgelöschten Klans
Trinkets are largely dependent upon ilevel, Feral does not have any overly strong trinket interactions. Most trinkets with Agility should be usable.
Tier 1 Trinkets
Auge des Befehls
- Essentially an overbudget stat stick, excels when target switching is limited.
- Effect has high variance but will usually perform as one of the best single target trinkets, aided by Ferals high base attack speed and inability to miss
- Very good trinket, extremely unlikely to be at an appropriate ilevel to be usable
Tier 2 Trinkets
- Essentially an overbudget stat stick.
- Agility and a high uptime proc.
Konvergenz der Schicksale
- reduces the cooldown on
Inkarnation: König des Dschungels
Andenken an Angerboda
- very similar trinkets, Foci has slightly higher variance, Memento has the advantage of proccing when a party member dies.
Splitter von Agronax
- A decent trinket with a damage proc.
Finger des Arkanogolems
- A decent trinket with a damage proc, slightly better on AOE.
Destillat der Seelen
- A decent trinket despite no agility, only really valuable on single target, can be awkward to use.
Stat sticks - Good in all situations.
Any other trinkets with agility main stats, most trinkets without agility usually aren't worth considering.
is the exception, however it falls behind as gear increases and scales poorly with ilevel.
Feral legendaries’ effects have a fairly small impact on single target, with the theoretically best legendary on single target (Cinidaria) being a ~3% DPS gain. Because of this, the stats granted on the legendaries are usually much more important. However, on AoE and cleave fights the value of certain effects shift significantly.
: This is a high-value legendary in one main scenario: priority target burst. Despite the fact that this Maim hits 3 targets, the legendary still falls behind on AoE since it almost always better to apply a Rip damage-wise. Since the Fiery Red Maimers occupies the leg slot, it is a high stat budget piece (meaning you get much more power for the ilvl) and boosts crit and mastery, providing a preferred stat stick compared to some of the other feral legendaries.
Kil'jaedens brennender Wunsch
: This legendary trinket is in an awkward spot; as a trinket itself it is top-tier due to its nature as a significant stat stick and a decent on-use ability that becomes better in AoE. However, as a legendary it is very lackluster in most situations, being one of the best burst AoE legendaries for feral and falling behind in every other area. Due to the limits on number of legendaries equipped as well as the already strong trinket slot it takes up, you will typically sacrifice more than you gain when choosing
Kil'jaedens brennender Wunsch
. This legendary is better the worse your gear is, and on certain AoE fights (like Skorpyron).
Cinidaria der Symbiont
: This legendary, while being just a decent stat stick and at a low budget (belt slot), is one of the best legendaries for single target and provides a small AoE benefit due to its effect. In the perfect scenario, this belt will result in around a 3% DPS increase.
Die Umklammerung des Wildformers
: This legendary is one of the more versatile legendaries, easing your rotation and performing well if not top-tier on any single target fight it is by far the best cleave legendary. The only real cons to this legendary is that it is not particularly well itemized, and takes the slot of one of feral’s best optimised tier pieces (gloves) and also has some negative synergy with the 4pc.
: This is the best AoE legendaries available for feral, however it does not have a significant benefit on single target. The increased range and damage of Thrash gives you a far greater gain on AoE however while the increased range will help you hit more targets (resulting in great synergy with Predator), in Mythic+ and other dungeons accidental pulling using them may occur.
: This legendary, while not the best single target can provide a reasonable single target gain in some situations. The 100 extra energy you gain does not affect your ability to pool due to uptimes. Chatoyant has some fringe benefits on fights with downtime that allow you to regenerate more than 100 energy (being able to store more), and on fights where you can get multiple Predator resets. Playing with the ring optimally means treating your energy pool as if it is still limited to 100, and only going past this incidentally through procs or
: The legendary boots grant you a

proc and additionally allowing
Schnelligkeit des Raubtiers
to stack up to 3, the legendary is one of the better of the legendaries for single target. The primary damage benefit of this legendary in single target is being able to

Prydaz, Xavarics Magnum Opus
: An overbudget neck piece making a decent stat stick with a good defensive effect
Ekogespenst, Erschaffer von Welten
: An overbudget chest piece making a decent stat stick with a good utility effect through increasing the value of your affinities. This legendary is currently bugged and any change in buffs or debuffs on you will toggle the effect
: A decent ring with a mediocre effect, this legendary is slightly better when you can proc it on cooldown (
is reccomended in order to accomplish this) however the legendary does not benefit from ferals innate haste modifier and is one of the few weak legendaries for feral
Die Dame und das Kind
: A boomkin legendary that will work for feral if
is talented, while it is a reasonable gain for the talent, the talent usually falls far enough behind
that it isn’t a significant gain.

Wowhead utilizes a powerful system of item filters to narrow down the gear you need.
, you can enter in some basic options at the top--the name of the item, its item level, the level the players needs to be. The "Usable by" dropdowns cover factions, class, and role.
The dropdown menu right above "Stat Weights" opens to display a variety of advanced options. These cover the following:
General item info such as Added in Expansion/Patch, BoE/BoP, Unique-Equipped, Class-Specific.
Stats: All primary stats, secondary stats, defensive stats, and weapon stats.
Source: All in-game sources, ranging from raid difficulties to the Black Market Auction House to sold by a vendor.
Miscellaneous: Many of these filters are not relevant to equippable gear such as Crafting Reagents and Toys, but you can filter for items that are currently obtainable.
Once you've selected a filter from the menu, click on Apply filter for search results. You can repeat the process to filter for multiple criteria at once--for example, Agility gear that is found in Mythic Foundry.
Over on the right-hand side of the page, you can select a particular Gear Slot or Quality to narrow results even further.
Finally, you can quickly view a subset of items at once using the Database Menus. Head to Database > Items and mouseover the Weapon and Armor options for quick links to gear arranged by armor type and slot.
