Gear and Stat Prioritization
Primary Stat: Strength
Armor Type: Plate
Secondary stat priorities
Currently Frost’s stat priority varies based on how much of each stat that you currently have but due to strength being very good, item level is generally best. Due to this there is no *real* stat priority.
Strength > Haste to around 20% > Mastery > Crit to at least 20% > Vers
For your specific stat weights,
check out Wowhead's guide on how to get your characters stat weights.
Critical Strike: Chance for extra effectiveness on attacks and heals. Increases the amount of
procs that you get.
Haste: Increases attack speed, reduces the global cooldown, increases your rune regeneration, and increases the amount of
procs that you get.
Mastery: Increases the effectiveness of
Versatility: Increases damage and healing, and reduces damage taken

- Every 3 Runes spent increases the Strength bonus of your next Pillar of Frost by 1%.

- Howling Blast now generates 8 Runic Power while Rime is active.

Spells or Stats Involved
By far our best legendary for pure output, and with the new set bonuses will be very good.
New to 7.2.5, this gives us a much needed single target boost and will be used on such fights.
Also new to 7.2.5, this ring gives us an extra talent. While it is not that good on single target, it is very good for aoe as it allows you to also take
With the nerf to Nighthold tier, this is no longer as good as it used to be but is still a top tier legendary.
One of the better legendaries that we have. Due to its synergy with tier it will still be very good even if it doesn't provide the biggest dps boost.
With the tier giving us more Rime procs, this allows for Howling Blast to constantly hit for a very large amount. This is very good in AoE situations and okay on single target.
Good for M+ and AoE fights, very mediocre for single target.
Increases the duration of Anti-Magic Shell by 100% and any damage it absorbs heals you.
Increases your movement speed by 75% of your Haste or Critcal Strike, whichever is higher.
Successfully applying a loss of control effect to an enemy, interrupting an enemy, or dispelling any target grants you 70% increased movement speed and 25% Haste for 10 sec. This effect may occur once every 30 sec.
Movement Speed & Haste Gain.
Every 30 sec, gain an absorb shield for 25% of your maximum health for 30 sec.
Recommended Tomb of Sargeras Gear
This is a general recommendation for gearing in the Tomb of Sargeras. With Warforged and Titanforged possibilities, having a set list of items as being "best in slot" is impossible. In almost every situation, an increase in item level is going to be better, even if the stat allocation isn't perfect. Here are some pieces you can try to gear for:
Finding Gear on Wowhead
From simple recommendations to advanced filters, Wowhead can help you find the gear you want.
is a great way to search for gear if you are new to Wowhead's filtering system.
Choose what item category, gear slot, and class specialization you're interested in, and it will return results for you. You can further narrow it down by source--including gear from LFR and heroic dungeons.
You can find the Item Finder via Tools > Item Finder or Database > Items > Item Finder.
returns personalized gear suggestions for you and shows which content has the most upgrades.
Simply load up the
with you preferred character and it will list gear recommendations in a 20 ilvl range for you. It will also list how many gear upgrades each boss has so you can plan out bonus rolls. Finally, the character planner will perform an audit and let you know if you have any missing enchants, glyphs, or gems.
If you have a character in our
which is great for tracking vanity collections and viewing your character in our 3D modelviewer, you can click on the "Planner" button in the header to access the tool. If you don't, you can just enter your information in at Tools > Character Planner.
Wowhead utilizes a powerful system of item filters to narrow down the gear you need.
, you can enter in some basic options at the top--the name of the item, its item level, the level the players needs to be. The "Usable by" dropdowns cover factions, class, and role.
The dropdown menu right above "Stat Weights" opens to display a variety of advanced options. These cover the following:
General item info such as Added in Expansion/Patch, BoE/BoP, Unique-Equipped, Class-Specific.
Stats: All primary stats, secondary stats, defensive stats, and weapon stats.
Source: All in-game sources, ranging from raid difficulties to the Black Market Auction House to sold by a vendor.
Miscellaneous: Many of these filters are not relevant to equippable gear such as Crafting Reagents and Toys, but you can filter for items that are currently obtainable.
Once you've selected a filter from the menu, click on Apply filter for search results. You can repeat the process to filter for multiple criteria at once--for example, Agility gear that is found in Mythic Foundry.
Over on the right-hand side of the page, you can select a particular Gear Slot or Quality to narrow results even further.
Finally, you can quickly view a subset of items at once using the Database Menus. Head to Database > Items and mouseover the Weapon and Armor options for quick links to gear arranged by armor type and slot.
