Epic changes are epic. Can't wait. We are really getting back to Vanilla, aren't we?I'm so excited!
If I only get 41 talent points, then how does one accomplish getting the current 51-point talents? What the heck? Maybe I need to re-read this...Okay. So. Get it now. This is dumb. I really don't like being forced to do a one-tree build for max efficiency.(Insert uber-mega-sadface here.)
Interesting changes... Can't wait to see this go on Beta and see how it plays out.
Woah...This is going to get interesting, to say the least.Easier to balance maybe?
Can't say I like the change, but can't say I hate it. Feels a bit unnessisary. Don't really like the idea of only getting a talent point every other level, but I'll see what I really feel when I get my hands on it. Though I guess this means the few cata talent builds that have been released so far (druid, rogue, shammy, priset) are completly useless to look at, they'll have to do a major rebuild of it all, and somehow I feel this is going to be yet another change that will be scrapped in the near future.
Seemed confusing at first, but we talked about it in the #wowhead IRC channel and it makes more sense now!
Yeah, I understand the way the system is going to work, I'm just wondering how the system is going to feel.
I think these changes could work out well. I definitely love the idea of feeling as though your talent tree is role-defining from level 1. Having dual wield as an Enhancement Shaman at level 10 will be great.
I think I will reserve comment until this new format is released, but this seems awfully close to the Spec system in SWG.And that is not a good comparison...
Looks interesting. I'm not going to knock it or really praise it until I've tried it for myself or seen some details from beta on next build.
Great changes, now i have no doubt about buying cata !
Why is this not on the Cataclysm board?
This is the kind of change I like. Something is not working, but always been like that, doesnt matter, scrap it and redo it. That's the spirit.
WoW: Cataclysm should be renamed WoW: 1.5Because it seems almost like a whole new game is being developed.
This only makes me want Cataclysm even more.
wow.Well I sure hope they re-vamp the talent abilities then, because for example a leveling priest gets significant benefits from placing some points in shadow, and some in holy if they want to try out the versatile "Energizer Smite Spec" for leveling. It does kind of make sense to have players pick one spec though. I remember my first toon I didn't know how the spec feature worked. At level 40-50 I had points in each tree, because I would just read through when I got a talent point and pick something that sounded cool. oops. Live and learn.
Real ID doesn't bother me - because I have nobody on my friend's list and I don't even use it anyway.Nor do I post on the official forums. Now, if they show our real names on the WoW Armory for the whole world to look up, I'll have a problem.
This sounds really awesome. Turns out not to matter to me anymore, but it sounds really cool. The storm over real id fades only when the people affected have finished cleaning up shop and walking away. All of the people I know IRL who play WoW have cancelled. All.
