I dont like "If queuing as a group with a tank or healer, and the tank or healer drops group (or is kicked) soon after joining, those that queued with them will also be removed from the dungeon."Because sometimes tanks or healers have IRL things that are unforseen, so why punish their friends.
I can already see the solo-a-holes abusing this...
Not cool with people getting kicked because they grouped with a tank or healer. I get why and I agree, but what is your tank DCs after 40 minutes? Screw that!
So this is how they're stopping the tanks from selling themselves in trade chat for instant queues? I like it. :)
I would very much like to SEE the reason for being kicked. That would be a great implement.
There are still some cheats but very nice imo. Getting tired of tanks selling Q spots then making the group wait around for the next.
Bout time they finally put this in; they've been talking about it for more months.
In other words, those who buy the que jump will finally get their just desserts.
"If queuing as a group with a tank or healer, and the tank or healer drops group (or is kicked) soon after joining, those that queued with them will also be removed from the dungeon."They'll probably need to introduce a new check to make sure that they don't drop group too late. Imagine finding a new DPS for the last boss, downing it, then tank drops group before people get a chance to loot, and everyone falls out of the instance.
Firstly, I have no issue with the Tank/Healer thing - if you read carefully it says 'shortly after joining'. We've all had experiences with a Tank or Heals that just doesn't like the group they get landed with or AFK and bugger off to do something else. What's the point in 3 dps sitting in a Dungeon waiting for the queue Gods to give them another Tank or Heals? You'll probably find that it's a pain for the system to account for it too when you look at how many dps would be queueing (I don't know, but it's a thought). Also, I agree with the kick penalty thing for guild/friendship groups. As a pure example, I was in Heroic Tol'vir last week with 3 other Guildies and because our Tank wanted to farm for a trinket, he and the others kept kicking people especially if they could/would compete for the roll on the trinket. Oh, and the other thing that they do (which would get around this as far as I can see) is leave group and regroup - effectively kicking the person who's the odd one out. 2 runs of this garbage and I bailed after profusely apologising to the last poor bugger that they did it too. It's not behaviour I agree with and I won't be a part of it again. *sigh*
All those restrictions on kicks totally suck.I get it that people "abused" kicks to do some stupid stuff but personally I have never experienced such things. What I have experienced - a LOT - however is that I can't kick some giant retard who keeps ninja pulling and breaking CC even after telling him several times.Kicks should be always possible. Having stupid timers and restrictions built around them is way more annoying than helpful. I'd rather risk being kicked myself than being unable to kick others.
Also, when you DC, you aren't actually kicked from the group (at least not automatically). The kick has to be initiated by the other party members, so if joining with a tank or healer and they DC, you won't actually get kicked yourself unless you initiate a kick of the person who DC'ed. At least, that's how I read this.
"soon after joining" Meaning, you can no longer pay a tank for the queue then have them leave as soon as it pops and you requeue with the group that you got.
So basically, the entire team gets punished because one person decided to leave for what may very well be legit reasons?Nice guilt by association fallacy there, Blizzard. Your logic is absolutely astounding. /sarcasm
