In before people complain about how this is basically a legal cash-for-gold item (it technically is). Honestly, I'm OK with it, since I'm too cheap to spend real money on items in the game.
How much 10 dollars cost in gold, for Blizzard? We'll soon discover.
So if you want one of these for all your toons you can expect to pay a lot. I think Blizz should make the item BoA once you learn it yourself so you have the option to trade it to friends or learn it on all your toons.
Important to note the point that Blizzard is NOT selling gold - they're creating a market similar to Diablo's AH, where players sell gold to each other. The distinction may be minor, but for matters of inflation, significant.
A quick google search gives the impression that $10 is worth about 10,000 in-game gold.
Feeding the Cash-Cow and nothing more. There is no real justification for that to stop in-trade scams when they are ripping off their customers. It should cost about 2$ not $10 considering for the collectors its only a single character as opossed to all of them.Instead they should take a leaf from how they handled TCG items in that you redeem at an NPC.However upon the redemption it should offer a one-off choice of a single BoE or per character BoA.
I totally agree! if you look at it in terms of cash for pet... the first ones (e.g. Lil' Ragnaros, the Pandaren Monk) convert to 50 account pets for 10 dollars. where the new one is a flat 10 dollars... i smell money making scheme... LOLz
So I guess this means that winged guardians can reproduce, somehow lol.
I like how they work just fine, boo on Blizzard!
I actually prefer this. I do agree it should be much cheaper though.
money whoring here
Although I like the new companion's appearance (3d model) the 2D photo for it looks so much like those stupid internet ponies that have been spreading around like wildfire lately. I can only think they either have a 16 year old boy on there that visits anonymous image boards to much or needs to grow up when they designed this.
Blizzard, nice scamming attempt, NOT.
I don't like this idea but I don't see a "BIG" problem with blizzard selling gold. I think they should just do it straight up. If blizz sells there own gold it they could stop gold farmers and most account hacking all together. Most every thing at end game isn't sold for gold now and hasn't been for a long time. So it wouldn't make rich people better players and even if it did they can buy gold now. It would just make things like mounts and pets and funny looking gear easier to get and blizz can sell it cheaper then anyone they make it after all so $1 could = 1000 gold
It's so adorable!
How much in game gold do people think this will go for?Cheers.
