This is gonna be interesting.
cool.
This reminds me of the blizz blues episode, Cross-Realm-REALMShttp://blip.tv/blizzblues-with-darnell/blizz-blues-44-cross-realm-realms-5876873
I can just imagine the amount of cross-server ganking now...Granted I haven't leveled a character in a while, but I certainly don't think there is nearly as much ganking as there used to be (I'm looking at you STV).Also, I'm not advocating ganking, I hate it and anyone that does gank mercilessly.
Seems like a waste of time IMO.Ever since they got rid of group quests, what exactly is the necessity to add this?
I didn't expect this.Pretty good idea though.
Cross realm realms. - Darnell
Sounds like a great idea-- but it all depends on how they tune it. I also have to wonder what effect, if any, we'll see on latency.
RIP Roleplaying Realms.
I like it...
Maybe they'll add some group quests back in now. I miss those.
I never saw this one coming, and quite frankly I love the idea. Praise be to Blizzard for this one.
I'm not looking forward to more loading screens or lag, other than that I like this idea. I've spent a lot of time recently on my 5 level 30-60 alts and I may as well have been playing an offline RPG for most of the questing, not a MMO.
They've come up with a lot of great ideas for MoP... but this definitely isn't one of them.I LIKE the empty zones when leveling up a new character... especially on PvP realms. Just get outta my way so we're not competing for the same mobs and so I can level asap. Now, if they would instance certain zones and keep them on the same server, much like DDO does (to reduce competition for quest mobs etc), then I could definitely see that being a worthy addition. If you want to group with a friend and you're in a different instance of a particular zone, just click the icon on your minimap and change to the instance in which they are. It's one of the few things DDO has done right and that I wish WoW had from that game. Hirelings is another.
I'm liking the direction this is heading. Seems similar to DCUO {which works there flawlessly}, and should greatly increase world PvP {which I loved about WoW}. Hope the testing goes well and they get good feedback on this.
