This is a 20 player cooperative mode that occurs on the home front

The first Warfront is Stromgarde

Warfronts will not always be active, it will feel like a special event, where you spend time building up to it. Could be on a schedule like Timewalking or Invasions.

Rewards are not yet finalized, but there are Alliance and Horde armor sets planned from it.

History of Stromgarde

In World of Warcraft Chronicle: Volume 1 we learn that Stromgarde, originally named Strom, was the capital of the great kingdom of Arathor.

In the Second War, Stromgarde was a powerful harbor city with allied itself with Lordaeron against the Horde.

Stromgarde left the Alliance after the Second War due to a falling out between Thoras Trollbane and King Terenas of Lordaeron--Trollbane wanted Terenas to annex part of Alterac to Stromgarde as thanks for the kingdom's sacrifices.

In the Third War, Stromgarde assisted Jaina Proudmoore in her Kalimdor expedition. Tragically, Thoras was murdered by his son, Galen.

At the start of World of Warcraft, Arathihochland is overrun with various races like Ogres and the Syndicate. In Cataclysm, Galen was killed by the Horde in Trol'kalar and pledges his loyalty to Sylvanas in Der Trollbann der Verlassenen.

In Legion, the Death Knight class campaign has you raise four new Horsemen. One of these is Thoras Trollbann in the following questline: Das verfallene Königreich, Unsere ältesten Feinde, Tod... und Verfall, Königsmord, Der König erhebt sich. At the start of the campaign, Galen is an independent ruler, split from the Forsaken, who offers to help you...but you end up killing him after he does not keep his word.

In Battle for Azeroth, the Alliance have control of the Eastern Kingdoms, as Undercity lies in ruins

The fight in Easter Kingdoms focuses on Arathi Highlands, a strategic location for both factions. The Alliance wants to secure it to block Horde attacks from Silvermoon, while the Horde want it to re-secure their footing in the North, and be in close proximity to Gilneas.

The Warfront in Arathi Highlands is Warfront Warfront: Stromgarde, which has received a significant visual upgrade.

The first thing you're going to do it establish a base

After that, you have to gather resources like Lumber and Iron and take territories

Then you can build your base - You can build an armory, a barracks and more! They want to keep the tech tree as similar to the original Warcraft III tech tree.

Players will collect their own resources and can deposit it in the building they wish to build. When the building has enough resources, it will automatically be built by Peons.

You then have to create an army and you need to lead that army into battle to take down the opposing Commander.

You'll need to both attack and defend in order to win.

Different Commanders may have different upgraded troops: A dwarven commander may have upgraded Rifleman, but a human commander may have upgraded Knights.

There's also random events like a Goblin merchant who may offer to pay some materials.

While Island Expeditions offer small-scale conflict, cooperative (PvE) Warfronts represent large-scale war on the homefront as members of each faction fight for control of a location critical to the war effort.

Anchored in the real-time strategy (RTS) origins of Warcraft, you play the role of a lieutenant leading the charge on the ground of a massive battle. Together with 19 fellow allied players, you will create an outpost, secure resources, set up supply lines, and train troops to push forward to assault and overcome an enemy stronghold. Unlike Warcraft III, you’ll be fighting in this conflict firsthand rather than commanding from a top-down perspective—putting you on the front lines of a large-scale, 20-player PvE experience.

Following the battle for Lordaeron, the Horde threat still looms over the Eastern Kingdoms. Holding Stromgarde will be key if you hope to keep the Horde’s aggression at bay.As the Horde, securing Stromgarde would set the stage for an assault on the heart of the Eastern Kingdoms and serve as a launching point for a campaign against the worgen kingdom of Gilneas. The location is also key to the defense of the blood elf capital, Silvermoon City, in the north.

Battle for Azeroth, World of Warcraft's next expansion was revealed!

6 Allied Races are being added in the expansion with custom appearances and special Heritage Armor sets.
We previewed the Lightforged Draenei and Highmountain Tauren races on the show floor.

Zandalari can be druids!

Dungeon Journal was available

The Design a Dungeon Boss panel also highlighted the Shrine of the Storm Dungeon.

We also found that Class Buffs are returning in the expansion, with one for every class (except Shamans).

We also looked at all the large Talent Changes and some classes got Artifact Traits available as Talents.

Blizzard discussed these topics in some interviews.

Wowhead's interview

An item level and stat squish update is coming in Battle for Azeroth.

Legendaries and Titanforging info was revealed, including no Titanforging on Azerite armor.

The Heart of Azeroth is empowered by Azerite and can empower latent energies in pieces of gear.

The events of the cinematic were transformed into a record-setting diorama for the Battle of Lordaeron.

The novel Before the Storm covers the events leading up to the cinematic. The book cover was revealed and convention-goers received a copy of the Prologue.

We speculated on the Burning of Teldrassil which directly leads to the Battle for Lordaeron.
