People saying "The Horde is evil and Sylvanas' gonna be a raid boss" are the new "WoW is dead" people. You're boring.
hmmm not sure what to say about this... having started my wow life as a night elf druid up on that tree i'll be sad to see it go. I'm a troll druid now btw. But I doubt Sylvanas is doing it as her Theramore moment. I do like her words though, where she says she wants the horde to endure. It shows she still has some morality left in all that hate of being "dead" and all. Although, threathening Saurfang with undeath is a bit drastic. He is an old soul true to his traditions and his honour as an orc. I wish they hadn't killed off Vol'jin. He would have been an awesome Warchief had he been given more time to actually do it. He is so much wiser than Sylvanas in my opinion and he truely cares about the traditions of the horde. But then again, maybe Sylvanas was a good choice. She holds survival of the horde very strongly and she's willing to what needs to be done to get the job done. I don't think Vol'jin would have had the nerve to attack the night elves home. But what of Azuremyst isle? How can Sylvanas truely conquer all of Kalimdor for the horde if they leave that alliance base there?
So if alliance kills hordes they're good - but if hordes kill alliance they're evil? Wait what?
Are we the baddies?

Sylvanas is lying about her true intentions. If this text was her honest oppinion, it implies she is willing to sacrifice Undercity + Silvermoon to the Alliance, which she clearly is not. The Blood Elves would NEVER agree to that. So this whole text is just some gibberish to justify this attack, but it is not the true reason. We will have to wait for more Text/the Book to learn about her true intentions...but whatever they may be, it seems extremly unlikely at this point that they are "good" or "justified". Some people had suspected Teldrassil could be corrupted or attacked by someone else...this seems out of the possibilities for now.
So many people surprised that Sylvanas gives no f@%ks? ....why?People are upset that they 'Garrosh'd' her, but those people forget two things: 1) Garrosh was always a hot-headed warmongering orc, even back in Wrath, so him going full villain when the entire Horde's at his command wasn't that hard to believe; 2) Sylvanas is not Garrosh. She's smarter, (somewhat) more aware of her own nature, seems fully ready for the other Horde leaders to bail on her when things don't go their way, and she's quite clearly afraid of perma-death. At the very least, even if she doesn't learn a Valuable Life Lesson in this xpac, she's going to HAVE to tone it down eventually to avoid another civil war, and she's clever enough to figure that out.Lastly, there's a line I keep thinking of from the post-Pandaria WoW book - 'the Horde isn't Garrosh.' Well, the Horde isn't Sylvanas either. The Horde would only be made out to be the villains if they went along with the Dark Lady's plans, and it's pretty clear even from this that there are already dissenters in the ranks. The Horde aren't going to be made out to be obvious villains to a man...just the genocidal undead Banshee Queen who's been at least a little evil since Warcraft 3 and her pet Nathanos. Real shocker there.
I’m a Horde player since day 1 and I am so hyped for this! The Dark Lady is taking action like I hoped she would. Finally we can get back to WARcraft and quit with the lame and weak leadership tryin for peace. Get that out of here. This is about doing what is best for one’s own people and culture. This is about fighting against those that would seek to harm you and your people. Thank you, Blizz for finally giving the Horde their balls back. Funny that it took a woman to do it though. By the way, don’t bother giving me some smug spiel about being evil or the bad guys. #Garroshdidnothingwrong
