Um yeah, saying this as someone who plays almost entirely horde, but does have 1 max alliance toon - making people play both factions for flying is actually really just a killjoy. Their decision to split stuff along faction lines, continents / faction reps n what not is fine, but forcing players to also play the other faction that a lot of people dont do, is just a $%^&ty thing to do.
same as legion ... but lets say that lore master and the exploration segments of the achiv are not that hard .. too bad that they just copy paste from one expansion to the other seeing that "it worked"
I'm exhausted just thinking about all the work that'll need to be done just to fly in BfA - Ooof! To think they might seriously want us to do it twice (one for EACH faction) is just way too much work considering this is only PART ONE of pathfinder!
Guys the achievement just shows both sides in one achievement, the horde and alliance just need to get the ones in the list below them.
Same as legion fine for me maybe a less rep that last time (legion req suramar exalted and reverted with the others factions).
Should only be one part and completable at launch. I'm disappointed. Also why rep grinds again? Everyone hated them. How they are even able to connect that to flying?
Its a shame that people can't simply do some exploration and follow a quest line for ONCE? Pathfinder is account wide and if you don't want to put some efforts to get it then play something else. Blizzard was happy with pathfinder system and they've said they're gonna use it in every future expacs. Deal with it.On the contrary, I am not supporting the idea of forcing both factions for pathfinder. I have played all alliance races for their starting zone experience but I've never bothered to level up an alliance toon to max until WoD's content draught era. I had literally nothing to do before HFC came out so I got my level 100 draenei back then and she's still standing out there.
I like how the reward for the pathfinder part 1 and end of expansion zone exploration achievements so far has been increased mount speed but we don't actually known by how much and if it actually gets applied to the character as we no longer have a movement speed stat we can check on the character screen and there is no visible difference. -_-
i just love how many people are freaking out over some ui bug.
I've had Double Agent since it was introduced. I have as many max-level on both factions. I'm going to play both stories if I play any; I consider this "getting my money's worth." I have no real bias against either side, save for how stupid Blizzard wants to write some characters. I get that people are feeling "hyper-partisan" right now, and given Sylvanas' actions I find it understandable. Even as a long-time Horde player I don't like where our story is going. But this is a game, and I go back to my previous statement that I at least consider playing both sides to be experience all of the game I'm paying for. I have max characters ready to go on both sides...just trying to decide how I want to negotiate the Horde opening story/IF I want to do it or sit out both. My only real qualm is with the rep-gating: that's not *experiencing all the game* that's enforced grinding for the Monthly Usage statistics that corporate is so concerned with now. I have a minor issue with gating ALL flying until Part 2 is introduced, which is only going to affect the new zone(s). I think they should make Part 1 it's own flying for the new areas, then have a separate flying for the new. That strikes me as fair, but I'm not interested in dying on that particular hill.
You all do realize that we will be going to the other factions starter island at max level, presumably to do a bunch of activities that will lead to us exploring and questing in both KulTiras and Zandalar...I don't think this is a ui bug or a signal for requiring both factions. This is just your run of the mill legion pathfinder part 1, split in to two area based categories.Could be wrong. Doubt that I am though.
At this point they should just go back to us buying flying, maybe don't sell it at release, but this achievement trash is just annoying and keeps new players from catching up.
