So what are the prerequisites for getting this quest? I Killed Argus on LFR difficulty on 6 different toons and 5 of them managed to get Gifts of the Fallen done, but my DK killed Argus also, got the legendary ring and delivered Illidan's crystal to Hyjal, but still hasn't gotten the Gifts of the Fallen quest. So what is my DK missing that she hasn't gotten the quest yet?

EDIT: Ok, so apparently, you have to relog (or quit the game entirely then relog to that toon that just killed Argus) and maybe(?) you have to be in your order hall as well, for the Gifts of the Fallen quest to appear.

In any case, problem solved.

First quest might only pop up after killing Argus once on that account (can be done in LFR). Relog should help, if it does not show up for you or close your client completely, if you have done step 9 and The Speaker's Call does not trigger (as described here).
You can switch the zone phasing at Zidormi, if you can't see your quest giver in Silithus.

If you just want to empower your artifacts quickly, you can skip the optional quests.

Aufbruch zur Wunde - travel to Silithus. You can use the portal to Uldum in Stormwind (/way Stormwind 75.10 20.36)
Gratisproben - kill Bilgewasserhilfsarbeiter and collect 8 ores
(optional) Auf Sabotagemission - place 10 Dynamitbündel
(optional) Wüstenforschung - turn in at Tammy Tüfteldrall near you
(optional) Die Machtquelle - collect 10 brains
(optional) Larven im Dutzend - click 12 broodlings
Der Zwielichtüberlebende - kill Michiel Leerenwanderer and (optional) accept/complete Ein kleines Stückchen Stoff at the toilet
Das Wiedersehen - speak to Erzmagier Khadgar
Die Perspektive des Sprechers - go to Magni Bronzebeard in Silithus
Das Blut von Azeroth - return to Staghelm Point
The Speaker's Call - speak to Laurette Royston, she'll transport you to Magni

Questline (incl. optional quests) took around half an hour, started from Sw/Uldum. Without optionals and cinematics it were 15 min.

Now all of your character's artifact weapons are empowered to maximum.

Beschreibung

Earlier today, King Wrynn addressed the citizens of Stormwind at Lion's Rest in a speech given to formally announce the end of the war. After the crowd departed, I met privately with the King and his advisors to discuss a mysterious substance that has been found in Silithus. This glowing ore appears to be most powerful and the Horde has wasted no time in extracting it from the great wound. The king has ordered me to fill you in on the details, in preparation for an important mission.
