(( Let the two-parter began! ))
-Part One-
- Morec led the procession through the Western Plaguelands. Arceus' words still rang in his ears, but he tried to ignore them. Whether or not he would make the same choice as Arceus made no difference to him at the moment. He would complete his current tasks first and wrestle with his conscience later. He had decided that much.
- The five undead rode across the path that led from Trisfal to the Eastern Plaguelands. Last he had seen, the Paladin and his allies were on foot, so it would only be a matter of time before they caught up to them. So absorbed with his mission was he that he didn't notice the Scarlet Crusaders that were readying to attack until they charged.
- With the element of surprise on their side the Crusaders managed to deal some slight damage before Morec and his minions managed to ready a counterstrike.
- But even a surprise attack was no match for raw power, and once on the offensive the undead quickly began to slaughter the Crusaders. Morec cut through them, being on horseback giving him an advantage over the foot-soldiers in hand-to-hand combat. And oven when he was injured Dark used her new, dark magic to repair his wounds.
- Without warning a hidden Scarlet Mage tossed a bolt of frost magic at Morec, but Garen used his powers to deflect it away from his master. The frost bolt had been but a distraction, with that out of the way Morec saw a ball of fire coming straight for him.
- Before he had a chance to react, the fire spell hit him and knocked him from his mount. Morec hit the ground, striking his head on a stone, and fell into unconsciousness.
...
-
Morec opened his eyes and stood. He wasn't in the Plaguelands anymore, no, but he knew this place all the same. The air was fresh and the bubbling of the stream could be heard.
-
He was at Chillwind point
.
- "I have raised you to serve me,"
an icy voice said
. "You will aid me, and protect me with your life. In return, I will grant you more power."
- "
Yes, Lord Itheac," Morec, a newly raised Death Knight, said after a few moments of silence. Except, he hadn't, he felt like everything was just playing out before him, with him watching through his own eyes
.
- "Now, we march to Strahnbrad,"
Itheac commanded
, "to deal with the living infestation there."
- "
Yes, master," the vision of Morec said. But the current Morec, the Morec being forced to watch as his gaze turned to the west and began to walk towards his home town, was overrun with fear
.
-
Strahnbrad
!
No! Not this
!
- Part 2 -
- It was like a nightmare, except he couldn't wake up.
- He marched with the undead, Garen and John - who had been raised into undeath as well - walked with them as well. They lumbered up the mountain side and then towards Strahnbrad. He had been forced to discard his sword, the holy runes burning him as they reacted to his new, unholy-based self.
- "The Scourge are coming!" a watcher yelled, "prepare to defend the village!"
- The guards lined up to try and fight them back, but Morec knew it was no good. He remembered the outcome of the battle all too well, and now, before his eyes, it was repeating itself.
- The Scourge - Morec included - rushed forward, tearing into the humans. Morec pushed his way through the crowd, one of the guards tried attacking him with a crude short-sword. Morec grabbed the man by the throat, squeezing it, and the squeezing the life out of him. The body fell limp onto the ground.
- Morec bent down and retrieved the sword, then went to find his own home.
- The door to his house was unlocked and opened. He strode in.
- "Who's there," Julia peeked out from behind a wall. "William? Is that you?" She ran and embraced him. "You're home, thank the Light. I was so worried about- Will, why are you so cold? And why-." She looked up into his glowing-blue eyes and then backed off. "Dear Light, no! Tell me it isn't true!" She tried to back up, but tripped and sprained her ankle.
- A single tear ran down Morec's face - the last tear he knew he would ever shed. "Forgive me," the Morec in the vision and the current Morec's mind said in unison. They raised the sword
.
...
- Morec bolted upright, screaming in terror.
- "Master!" Garen, John and Darklock said in unison, "what is wrong?"
- 'Nothing that he can't shake off," Arceus said. "Right?"
- Morec nodded, hiding his fear and disgust at the memory of what he had done behind an emotionless expression. Darklock was trying to push herself against him, but Morec pushed her away as he stood.
- "Let's get moving again," he said. "We need to catch up with the Paladin sooner rather than later." He turned his attention to the Crusader corpses that littered the area. With a burst of Necromantic energy he resurrected them all into his service.
- "These will exact my vengeance upon the Crusade," he said.
- "Vengence for what?" Arceus asked.
-
For making me remember
, the Lord Death Knight thought, but said nothing out loud.
- The zombies ran off towards the nearest Crusade-infested area, Morec and the other undead mounted their spectral steeds and continued their ride to the east.
- Anger built up in Morec, but so did a realization. Before he had served Itheac for a while, he had more power as a Death Knight, and even more power he had when he had been a Paladin. All the same, was all that power worth the misery and suffering that he had been put through because of Itheac resurrecting him as a Death Knight?
- His mind continued to try and process this as he rode. But a voice, not his, not Itheac's, continued to speak in his head as he did.
- "
You will be rewarded
."

Epic.
One error that annoyed me a bit (As I actually had to thin to figure it out) was oven instead of even.

Wow, how did that slip through? Thanks for pointing it out, also noticed that I forgot to finish Darklock's name because of it.

Interesting. A few typos though. May want to correct them while reading through. :)

Writer's Commentary (1):
- I really need to remember to use spell check and such, most of these replies were about my poor spelling, and not about the interesting fact that Morec is having a flashback about his past when he was first ressurected.
- As for when the next part is coming, I'm thinking this Saturday.
- For those of you who want a hint as to whats going to happen next in Morec's dream, re-read
this page
. I'm an evil writer, arn't I?

EDIT: Huh? Wait, is this the final page or something?
No, I've just finished writing Light and Death. As for posting it I've got a while to go.
EDIT: In short: I've written up every page of it and I just have to type it up and post it at will.

Unfortunately, no, the Worgen only appeared after the Cataclysm thing, I think. This takes place a year before Classic WoW, and you know me, don't like to mess with Lore.

In like, 10 pages I think. So we've got a while to go :)

I was right!
Almost, it was more of a Nightmare, if anything. But yeah.

Honestly, I'm not planning anything.

Well as he is finished, if he left it on a more open ended note, then he
might
be able to do another series.
