Notable Classes
Before the Pull
Baron Geddon patrols through the entire later area of Molten Core - The safest way to engage Geddon is to pull him all the way back to Garr's room. This allows the raid to stand in a line formation, which allows them to safely deal with
Mana entzünden. Geddon must be tanked in an open area with enough space for Melee players to run away from Geddon safely during
Inferno.
For classes with Fire abilities, Baron Geddon is completely immune to them - So refrain from using them.
Baron Geddon Abilities and Strategy
Geddon is the first fight in Molten Core where all his mechanics can be deadly if not properly dealt with.
Mana entzündenGeddon burns a random target, burning their Mana every 3 seconds. Every point of Mana burned also deals damage to the target.
- Ignite Mana is very potent and can rapidly drain your raid's Mana. Paladins and Priesters must dispell Ignite Mana as soon as possible, prioritizing healers over caster DPS.
- Regenerationstrank can also be used to help clean up Ignite Mana while preserving the raid's Mana.
- As Ignite Mana only deals damage if it actually burns any Mana, leaving Warriors and Rogues with the debuff is a good way to preserve Mana - As neither classes have a Mana bar to begin with, they do not take damage from the debuff.
