Dragonflight has begun it's Beta phase, Shadowlands is in it's final stages with no new content coming and Wrath Classic Prepatch has begun! This week, we discuss gold making in all different forms of WoW.

Dragonflight Beta Begins
The Beta Phase of Dragonflight has begun
and with it many more people can test the new content. There are some updates to professions and how crafted gear works, most notably the removal of the 5 limit to crafted high end gear!
HIGH END CRAFTING UPDATE
In this week’s build, we have changed how limits on high end crafted gear works. Instead of limiting you to equipping 5 pieces of high item level crafted gear, you can now equip an unlimited amount of basic high end gear. Some of the more special crafted gear which includes special effects, or has a special effect added through an optional reagent will have a equip limit of 2 though to help limit overall gear complexity.

There are a lot of changes to the UI and each individual profession, but with the vendors being temporarily removed and no template for max level characters, testing will be slow until they are enabled again.
Hopefully, with more players invited to Beta and once Work Orders open up, we can start to test the second half of the profession system exclusive to Dragonflight.
Why Did the Glyph Market Die?
Glyphs, like many other commodities have been combined into one large realm-wide auction house.

I know Blizz sent the AH into Spookyland since the change, but why did the glyph market basically die? Can't be only because of the change, or am I missing something? Some plans are still ballsy to farm.
So what caused he Glyph market to crash like this?
I’m not sure if this is the full picture, but probably a significant piece of the answer.
Most markets are no longer resetable. It takes too much gold and the market moves so quickly that you won’t see a return. The price will return to its previous market value too quickly. Instead of competing with a few members of the server, you’re competing against everyone. And that’s too much competition to dominate a market.
Instead of 100s of small markets, each dominated by a few key players in that market, now there is one large market, and no one can control it.
Yeah. I think this update exposes a key problem with the mindset of this subreddit. Blizzard are not - and should not - designing for the needs of the small % of players who want to game the auction house to make obscene amounts of money.
I enjoy acquiring in-game wealth as much as anyone else here but I am painfully aware of the fact that the average WoW player doesn't even know that the auction house currently operates on a LiFo principle, and probably hasn't ever tried to do anything except buy the cheapest stack of X while rushing to queue for a raid.
We're a fringe community acting like the world has ended because Blizzard have taken steps to ease inequality between different realms that was, for the average player, the difference between having fun and having to spend way too much of their gold on mats that were over-priced because of a low population.
We've just gotta get used to the fact that this is and always will be Blizzards primary focus because WoW isn't a fantasy economy simulator. It's a game with an auction house to make it easier for people to trade and acquire the goods they need to access gameplay.
Money making opportunities exist, but this most recent change is much better for the overall health of the game.
The UI, and consumability. You used to have a nice UI with a list of every glyph for your class, and what they did, so people would buy en mass and collect them all.
Now the only hint of a glyph is if your spellbook icon has a little mark on it, and people buy them more sparingly because they're consumed upon use.
Well... it should never have been high in the first place - it didn't "crash", it was corrected.
When materials take 2 minutes to farm and a glyph takes 3 seconds to craft, why would you imagine its value is 6k gold? The only reason that people got away with selling at high prices that most players don't care at all about glyphs and don't explore it as a gold-making option. Now that's changed and there is still no demand for glyphs with greater supply.
I think these answers highlight that many gold making methods of old were in many servers artificially inflated simply by server population supply and demand. The regionwide merger of commodities has done much to help the majority of players and that means profit margins are largely negligible in many professions with a large proportion being exposed to over supply with not enough demand.

Brewfest. If you follow my channel at all you know I love WoW in game holidays to make gold and this month is one of my favorites! To make gold off Brewfest we are selling battlepets and the Tremendous Tankard
The Tillers Farm. With the 9.2.7 auction house merger, the price of everything sucks. So we are emphasizing efficiency! We can get tons of mats very quickly with our Tillers farm.
Callings. I personally do not like Callings. I only do Callings if I can do 2 or 3 of them at a time, but they are now one of the best ways to make gold since 9.2.7
My raw gold farm, a combo of Terrance of Endless Springs and Heart of Fear trash. In my opinion this farm is better than Callings if you only do one at a time, but if you can do 2 or 3 at a time then Callings are better.
Draenor Garrison. Again going back to our theme of efficiency, we can make a decent amount of gold for almost zero effort.

Wrath Classic Gold Making
In the Classic era,
Wrath of the Lich King has entered the pre-patch phase
and with it many players have returned to prepare for adventures in Northrend!

Armor is king
The main thing you can craft with leatherworking that will be economically meaningful is BoE armor. You get to craft both mail and leather, which covers a large number of classes. Outside of the armor you can craft ammo bags, and armor kits that you can apply to legs. You can also craft drums that can give various raid buffs.
There’s a good number of recipes that are relevant for pre-bis gearing. Revenant’s Threads are pre-bis for Elemental shaman. Outside of that there isn’t much that is clear pre-raid bis, but there are a lot of useful items for initial gearing, including the Ice striker’s Cloak, Eaglebane bracers and the Trollwoven and Giantmain items.
In addition the entry level PvP gear you can craft can be quite useful for players for initial gearing.
Leatherworkers can craft various profession bags as well as ammo pouches. I don’t really see any of these maintaining particularly high demand, as outside of dedicated profession alts I don’t really think profession bags are worth it. Ammo pouches and quivers may see some sales, I think hunters will prefer to keep as much ammo on them as possible, but whether or not that justifies the lack of flexibility is uncertain to me.
There are two main ways of obtaining leatherworking recipe. As usual a very large number of the recipes come from the trainer. Outside of that there’s a vendor in Dalaran that will sell you most of the other recipes. You need to trade in either Heavy Borean Leather for the rare recipes or Arctic fur for the epic ones. There’s no significant barrier to entry on any of them, so I would suggest getting them early, and crafting away. Focus on the most in-demand ones as listed above.
The most promising strategy
Leatherworking is fairly straightforward. You will want to power level to max skill, get the most in demand PvE recipes. Focus on the epic recipes if you can get Frozen Orbs if not it’s the PvP gear and Eaglebane Bracers. I would also suggest grabbing the entry level PvP set recipes. Once you have all of those, it’s as simple as restocking consistently to keep them available on the AH. This can easily be done on a level 68 alt, so go to town.
