Fun With Numbers: Siege of Orgrimmar Was Released Exactly Half of World of Warcraft's Life Ago
29.06.2022 um 16:34
Sometimes it's just fun to look at numbers and ratios.
did just that and pointed out a fun fact for June 28, 2022:
WoW release date: November 23, 2004.
Patch 5.4 release date: September 10, 2013.
Today: June 28, 2022. (I know its midnight and thus the 29th now, I'm just late making this post).
There are 3,213 days between each of those dates.
Do with this information what you will.
Patch 5.4 was, of course,
Siege of Orgrimmar
, a very well received and popular patch. While the days don't match up as neatly as millarchoffe's point, we thought is would be fun to see where we were at other points along the timeline, so let's break the timeline down a little more. Being an odd number, 3,213 doesn't divide neatly in half, but it does divide into thirds which gives us 6 sections of 1,071 days each. Let's see where we were:

What a long, strange trip it's been!
Fellow Redditor matijwow responded to millarchoffe's post with a prediction of what may happen in another 3,213 days with this excellent echo of the end of Mists of Pandaria:
3,213 days from now:
Anduin: You disappoint me, Turalyon. You are not worthy of my father's legacy.
Anduin is about to decapitate Turalyon, finally brought low due to the combined efforts of the Horde and Alliance Rebellion, but a shadowy bow blocks Shalamayne's blade mid-strike.
Alleria: His punishment is not for you alone to decide.
Anduin: I won't let the void take him.
A wounded Calia Menethil steps forward.
Calia: We have all suffered from his atrocities. My people more than any other. Let him stand trial in Lordaeron. There we will mete out justice for all.
So let's have it; what do you think will be happening in WoW 3,213 days from now? What would you like WoW to be 3,213 days from now? Do you notice anything striking about WoW's first half compared to its second half? Let us know in the comments.
