Roll the Bones Usage
Rotationally, it’s not difficult to play Outlaw. One thing that separates a good Outlaw Rogue and a great one is having good decision making with Schicksalswürfel
. You can be too greedy or not greedy enough when you’re going pack to pack.A general rule for Schicksalswürfel is to:
There are some variables that can make you choose to roll or to keep what you have. A lot of it depends on the amount of trash and the time it’ll take to die.
- If the trash is going to die in a short time span don’t bother rerolling and keep what you have.
- Try not to spam reroll during Klingenwirbel but if you are preparing to enter a period of continuous Klingenwirbel then it’s ok to fish for a good roll.
- Kurs halten and Handgemenge are useful for preparing and dealing with lethal scenarios. Kurs halten is used prior to engaging a lethal pack to ensure you have Adrenalinrausch available. Handgemenge is invaluable on bosses with constant damage or bursting damage, it exponentially scales our survivability on AoE.
With the passive ability Outlaw Rogues have: Ruhlose Klingen
, the cooldown on Adrenalinrausch
is fairly low and should generally be used on cooldown. You'll want to be certain that it’s up on potentially lethal trash, which is why Kurs halten
can be a useful roll on a previous trash pack.Should you roll during Adrenalinrausch if you have a bad roll?
lowers your Global Cooldown on your abilities, giving you more opportunities to get a good roll and fully utilizing Ruhlose Klingen
. There are very few situations where you’d actually hold onto Adrenalinrausch
is what funnels all of our damage into AoE, with the talent Tanzender Stahl
it lasts 15 seconds and has a 25 second recharge. In prolonged AoE you could find yourself in situations where you are limited to one charge of Klingenwirbel
or none at all. If you have only one charge and there’s still a lot of trash up, don’t go into that Klingenwirbel
rerolling, instead go into it with a decent buff. If you’re finishing up 2-3 trash mobs that are relatively low health and you determine that the next pack is going to be bigger than what you’re currently fighting, let your Klingenwirbel
should be used on cooldown and it is a big cooldown with the traits Volltreffer
and Ass im Ärmel
. It puts most trash on stun Diminishing Returns (the next time you use a stun on them, it’ll be half duration, then half of that, then completely immune). The reason it’s worth talking about this is, you can run into situations where you may need to stun a mob to stop a very lethal mechanic on a trash pack. A good example of this is using
on Zuls Schildträger
. It’s much more efficient to use AoE stuns on these and if they can’t be stunned, it’s more challenging to stop their Bulwark of Juju, increasing the length of the pack. Unless they will die during the 3
to completely put them on stun Diminishing Returns use it on different target.
I’ve seen this a lot and I’ve done it, don’t use
with a nearby target that is about to die and drop Blutig
. The damage you do will not make up for the amount that it could heal.
