We recently highlighted our
Torghast Strategy Guide
, showcasing our collected tips and strategies for success, but several players have been highlighting their own experiences within the Tower of the Damned, ranging from hilarious success stories to downright disastrous results as they grapple with the newest game activity. With many players finding this week's wings significantly harder than the last, there have been a number of community discussions on how to be successful inside Torghast, sharing tips and showcasing some of the overpowered builds possible if you get the right powers.
Boss Burst Highlights
As a Roguelite activity, the determining factor for success often comes down to how lucky players get with their anima powers, with several highlights from both this week and last showcase the immense potential from stacking the right powers. of course, not every class or spec is created equal in this regard, with some gaining access to extremely bursty powers capable of shredding even the mightiest bosses, while others must rely on building defensively or using gimmicky tricks to stay alive.
Unlike many classes, Mages can find Torghast bosses a laughable threat, with one power in particular making the biggest bads in the tower near trivial.
into one of the most powerful nukes in the game!
Burst damage isn't the only way to win against bosses though -
you don't need to worry about dying if the boss never gets a chance to attack you
! This venthyr covenant Warrior saw the perfect opportunity to switch to Arms for the final boss, combining
with infinite rage - completely stunlocking the boss with chain knock downs from start to finish!
Another hilarious example of safely killing bosses, this time as a Monk using

spam jump until the boss dies
Many anima powers change the way abilities work, and sometimes you find fun interactions which aren't directly stated in the tooltips.
Phiole unreinen Blutes
may not have the one-shot potential of other powers showcased above, but this player discovered that it actually works with
, leading to a lot of satisfaction as their
endless army of imps poured forth
to overwhelm the Jailer's forces.
Another example of Warlock shenanigans, using
Pakt der höllischen Nähe

50% Boss Damage
is an interesting power capable of decimating enemy bosses, but requires a bit of luck because it doesn't last forever. If you get it at the right time though, it can do downright disgusting things to even the most difficult bosses, as
this group quickly discovered
! Unfortunately, it won't work against bosses anymore starting with next week's hotfix, but
Zauberstab der Erfrierung
is very similar - allowing the target a chance to heal the damage in exchange for lasting the entire run.
Who needs damage when you have health
? A lot of players have recommended switching to tank specializations this week, and
is a really good example of why! Even if you're not a tank though, it can add up to a whole lot of extra health in Mawrat heavy layouts, giving players who don't have crazy DPS potential the buffer they need to survive the enemy long enough to whittle them down.
Several other threads share helpful tips and tricks for making your way through Torghast. While not particularly game changing, they're nice things to keep in mind.
are account wide
! You don't need to farm them on every
CC Mawrats to keep yourself in combat
, denying enemy assassins. This is particularly important this week, as those assassins can be quite deadly, although you'll have to do it again each floor.
Anima Power selections can be saved until you're ready to use them
- great for temporary buffs like the afformentioned
, although you can't earn any new powers until you've chosen one already in waiting.
transform the Broken vendor
- just make sure you bought everything you need first!
Calm down, it's not a race
! Explore every nook and cranny for extra Anima Powers, more
, and more quests to help you succeed! Going slow will also help you use cooldowns more often, which can be a major advantage for getting through tougher encounters.
