Just a simple question that they won't answer: Will the mount be unique or will it show up reskinned elsewhere? If it's unique, I'll buy it. If it's not, I won't.

What conceivable reason could they have to not answer something so simple? So frustrating.

Unique, but it's not like it's an infernal or anything. There will be some who grind for this thing, but I won't be one of them. You can buy mounts off the AH for 1/10th the price at the moment that look cooler.

As it is, I can see where the haters are coming from in one respect: this thing has no bonus functionality. The Tundra Mammoth and Yak are mobile shops. Spider mount
Personally I think 2M gold is bit high, but as long as NO EASIER to GET recolors appear its completely fine.
If they plan recolor spiders then this specific one need some addition to its look - bags of gold hanging on its back - they should add this anyway to keep it clear its primarily for gold hoarders
PvP recolor (Gladiator mount to keep it rare) could be reddish with hanging heads then
PvE one ("cutting the edge" achievment - again to keep it rare) could be brown with hanging weapons
Mount collector recolor (350 mount collected) could have some special color like green

If you really want THAT one, then better start saving up for it, or sell some tokens if you must. Don't like it? Then move along. Either way no one else really cares whether you got it or not, at best they'll insult you for having it as they can't have it themselves. And people still say the game has a great community...

To be honest, this is the only way to give a vendor mount any value, if only for a time. The 100k give or take vendor mounts are quite the joke to obtain nowadays, and adding a rep requirement wouldn't give it much more value either unless you make that rep a hellish grind to the levels of Am Rande des Wahnsinns, which constitutes of multiple reps mind you.

Actually, the people at Blizzard responsible for this mount and its exclusivity are probably happy about the controversy surrounding it, as it only increases the value of the mount even further, thus having accomplished their task... and since it'll be so rare, there will be fewer cases of people suffering from arachnophobia making complaints on the subject.

I actually wish they'd do more things like this, and on top of extreme vendor prices lock the cooler mounts behind really high reputation walls, so we could have more harder to obtain mounts that weren't all about dat RNG.Kommentar von cephadexIn the fifth image down, why is film-Dalaran floating?
