My favorite thing about Yrel is that she is a draenei, first one in the nexus woop and that sick jester skin she got.
I think what I liked the most about Yrel was watching her grow in Warlords of Draenor as the game unfolded.
It's gotta be the Draenei horns. Can't get enough of them!
Collesium of lust. That and the shattrath cinematic.
Yrel is actually my favorite part of WoD. Her character development was amazing to witness and it's sad that she seems to be strictly restricted to the alternate timeline of WoW. :'/
As many have said, I loved that Yrel actually had character development. We saw her grow, and not just in a small quest chain somewhere -- she was a main character of the expansion, and I know I wasn't the only one who was disappointed she didn't come with us back to Azeroth to be an Alliance hero and continue her journey. Yrel wasn't a 'Hey, go to X and do Y, please,' character. She was a '-WE- are going to X so -I- can do Y' one, and that was amazing to see.
As controversial as it was, I loved Warlords of Draenor's ending with Yrel. I've always liked the unity of the factions, so seeing them all put aside their differences and work together was great and I was super hyped for her to appear in Legion... So, suffice it to say, her rant about not being invited sums up how I feel too! I also loved when she and Thaelin prank each other in Nagrand, that's a pretty good runner up!
From the Umbral Halls to the Dark Portal Yrel's story, rise as a noble warrior and stalwart leader of her people was far and away one of the best things about WoD. I've been playing WoW ever since Wrath and the Draenei, from their visual aesthetics to their culture and homeworld make them stand out as my favorite playable race and one of the many reasons I lean Alliance. So, it stands to reason that ever since HotS went live I've been anxiously waiting for the Space Goats to enter the Nexus, but which one were we going to get? There are only really three of note: Velen is a no brainier, so then you're only really left with Yrel and Maraad. You can't have them both (as they share the Hammer of the Naaru) and Maraad is certainly the safer bet as far as lore is concerned. So, you can imagine my surprise/delight when instead the plucky Priestess turned Exarch got the honors as ambassador of her race, especially as I was convinced she would end up like so many other NPCs before her and forgotten with their expansion (Aysa and Ji anyone?). As for her HotS iteration, her default, Bloodmyst and Silver Hand tints are awesome and though the drastically new hairstyle is a bit jarring, it is growing on me. I had originally in-visioned her as a multiclass Warrior/Support (I still think that would have been the better route), but her kit seems pretty solid and defiantly unique. I hope she's popular enough to get continued support form Blizzard in the form of new skins and hopefully a return to Azeroth as well. Can't wait to get my hands on her!(Oh, and thanks to her launch skins we all get to see exactly what the "little girl" has got hiding under all that armor *Wink wink nudge nudge*.)
My favorite thing about Yrel? The way she managed to remain steadfast and step up to her duty despite having suffered a terrible blow when she lost her sister.
Yrel is one of my favourite characters.-"What do you want, little girl?"-"Your HEAD".
I loved the quest chain that made her the exarch
I'm like the fact that Yrel has come back to help the Alliance. Horde be warned, Yrel is HERE!
At first I was not really into her character at all, but then I saw how Velen was raising her into such a great leader, exploiting talents she didn't even know she had, how she tried to save her sister. They portrayed how a "real" vulnerable character was capable of becoming a hero. I loved how se grew with us.
I like her because she is a badass when she bashed Blackhand and saved Durotan, despite her hatred for the orcs.
My favorite thing about Yrel was seeing her grow from someone we rescued in a cave at the beginning of the expansion into a High Exarch.
Personally I kinda like what they are doing to Yrel and the Draenor Draenei in BFA I don't want to say what happens because its a spoiler but I think it is a neat direction.
It has been said before, but her rise from random Draenei to the leader of her people is quite a nice thing to follow. Plus it's one of the few important characters whose backstory is done entirely in WoW.Plus she has the best hammer.
What I love about Yrel is that in Heroes blizzard "played a little bit more" with her Mad Jester skins turning her horns into ponytails! I also love the fact that they placed the horns on her circlet as a referente to her original apperaence... if you haven't noticed yet I love that skin :p
How she started as a slave in an Iron Horde cave, and then rose up to be a successor of Maraad then Velen. And of course how she inserted Durotans axe into the shoulder of Blackhand.
The best part was her receiving the Mark of Naaru from Velen in Shadowmoon Valley, that was when i realized that this character won't just stay in one area and will be with us throughout WoD.
