I Hate When People Say They're Leveling Having Trouble Fighting Mobs, Especially In Dungeons, While Using Heirlooms. The Heirlooms Are The Problem, I've Found Using All Looms Made Me A Good 5-10% Weaker/'Slower' Than When I Use Gear From Questing.I Gave Up On Looms When I Was Kicked From My First Dungeon For To Lower DPS After The Change To Heirlooms Was Made, I'm Sure Plenty Of People Could Find It A Lot Easier/Faster To Not Use Them, Despite The EXP Buff.
It took my most recent 110s (6 of them i lvled in 7.3.5) 48 hours played each (except my 2 DKs) to level to max from lvl 20 (allied races) and I'm sure a few hours of that I was in trade chat or just generally afk. 48 hours played is by no means a slow amount of time. I feel like some people just have no clue how to level their toons. I do agree that BC and WotLK need their experience amounts given from quests increased because that was by far the slowest part. Blasted through vanilla slowed down massively til 80 and then leveled pretty fast through mop for next 10 levels took about 7 hours and only 3 for 90-100 then I just did invasions for 100-110 as I was in no rush. I stopped all 6 of them at lvl 100 until i got them all to 100 then just did invasions when they popped up. So it'd probably be a few hours longer if I quested from 100-110.To anyone wondering what my total 110s is, it's 29. As someone who has leveled toons throughout all expansions, there could be way worse experience rates than maxing in 48 hours which is pretty damn good.
Mob scaling after prepatch is horrible. They should tune everything to be on par with current Legion tuning, which is at perfect spot.
the slower it is - the more money they make on boosts,
I also think that the faction bosses are still pre-patch stats too. Cause I just watched a raid of Horde on Anduin and he barely lost any health. After about 30 mins or so, he lost about 4 million health out of his 28 million.
"You're right the curve was adjusted to be smoother and a little bit slower in 7.3.5, so in comparison that would feel amazing, however that change was one that some players actually do enjoy. While its not what you want, some players did like that. I personally think it's slower and preferred it before the 7.3.5 patch(cause I'm the kind of player that wants to level really fast and just have more alts) but I understand why it was changed and recognize there are players that do like that change. I thought it felt equally jarring that someone could go from 1-100 in a matter of a few hours. The 7.3.5 patch felt like a solid middle ground between how it was in Classic/The Burning Crusade and to how it was pre 7.3.5 at least to me."That's all well and good, I'm all for helping the widest range of players enjoy the game. Slowing leveling down a bit does appeal to many players, and they deserve to be as happy as possible, too.But why can't get a 5% experience increase on all our heirlooms to compensate, for those of us who want to level faster? People who want to level slower generally don't use heirlooms, either, because those make it faster anyway. Increasing the experience we get from each heirloom to offset the slowdown in 7.3.5 seems to address the best of both worlds - leveling is slower for people who prefer that, but players who prefer faster leveling can opt-in to it.
I have 65 Frost mage and I am doing 2 levels per day and it's boring with that speed and also wait time for dungeon is slowing whole process also.
The solution to all these concerns is already ingame and it should be: Better heirlooms. The problem right now is that they don't offer enough experience boost. Fix that and its over.
well i love the new level experience and have leveled multiple toons since 7.3.5. northrend and outland is crazy boring but it has been before the patch aswell. its just the oldest content in the game and u feel that. there needs to be a change to that levelarea like 25% less exp needed or such and its fine for me.also think about that normally only people who don't like sth comment on forums, might very well be the majority of people who either like the levelchanges or don't care.
I agree, the leveling is so much of a goddamned slog already, the zone scaling and expansion choice is all we needed, now they make it more difficult under the guise of making the "world more storied" when new players get a boost to get right into the action and so it is us long time vets leveling allied races for heritage armor left to pay the price. Zone scaling, YES THANK YOU, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! expansion choice, THANK YOU! But now dungeons are a chore and the whole experience takes forever, leading people(like myself) to just grab alt or family accounts to boost through dungeons. Ion's reason for nerfing RAF xp made no sense, excuse me, I am paying $$(albeit not boost $$)to level a toon faster, thats my choice! But maybe they really want to just boost those sexy paid 110 dollars, which is sad. RAF did not need a nerf, it was money in their pocket, their reasoning of moving toons between accounts, like hello, we are willing to do that, its our money stop hindering us! I've leveled and transferred dozens of RAF toons and thus far blizzard was happy to take our familys money and now its a pain in the but. Not happy, wont be silent.
Make it EVEN SLOWER? What an absolutely great idea. ''Hurr well people should be able to enjoy the story'' well yeah an outdated story. If people want to enjoy the story don't wear heirlooms. Even with heirlooms it's slow and tiresome as it gets. And with the prepatch many mobs just feel so unbalanced. Some abilites aren't nerfed, they sometimes have so much hp it just feels fighting a practice dummy.
