this confirm there is not a secret final "N'zothian" phase?good for them, bad for her.
That's a lot of nerfs going through.. and before someone inevitably says it this does work insanely in favor for regions with raiding hours after the nerfs. Seeing blizz take up some amount of coverage this year this could maybe point to future WF races becoming more fair between regions hopefully.
"Why Blizzard didn't announce this nerf alongside yesterday's announcement is a mystery and because they didn't do that, there's some outrage among the World First Guilds."Boohoo, the boss they kept failing at for 2 weeks suddenly got easier. Get over it.
Unless the avg ilvl of every raider was around 440 which meant it really was overtuned based on the gear, WHY nerf this? It looks like Blizzard wants to see this "race" ends in 2 weeks max once released.I will put my tinfoil hat and say maybe its something to do with all this new corporate sponsorships and more online attention with streams. Not to mention Redbull booked the hosting venue for 2 weeks. Won't look good if the "race" is not over by then 😬
I don't care who wins, as long as it's Europeans! To hell with you 'muricans! (I'm just joking, no true hate from me<3)

IMHO Mythic endgame instances shouldn't be designed or nerfed to be beatable in such a short time frame. I'm pretty sure that why Blizz doesn't have an "official" WF for them. The fact that Blizz is now nerfing the last boss is kind of disappointing. From the way I've read the coverage and watched the pulls, basically every player has to be perfect or damn near perfect, and then on top of that RNGesus has to be be smiling on your group. That's the way the game should be, especially on mythic difficulty, not every pull should be a guaranteed win. Obviously as the teams get more experience and learn the encounters, get better gear, etc... RNG will have less of an impact and more pulls will equal kills, but up front, before anyone has even seen the whole encounter they are kowtowing to the money because the encounter is actually challenging... Obviously they designed it this way and at some point they had to have tested it internally to check the viability of the design. They didn't design it to be impossible, just highly difficult. Just once I want to see the world first race take at least a couple of months and see blizz not give in to the nerfs and whatnot. As for those of you who want to claim that its hard on the top guilds, well since that is basically their job now, unlike in vanilla/BC when ppl actually scheduled time off from work to things like this, now they literally get paid to sit in front of a screen and learn how to defeat the bosses.
Actually Method has people going back to work on Monday and Limit members are probably flying back home by the 31st.
Method 33%. They don't have a name for nothing.
Lol I know. and the complaining that now it's EZ mode. Really? If that's the case, how come she still has not been defeated?
I'd understand if the fight were very overtuned, buggy and the like, but some of these 'fixes' seems flat out mega-nerfs to be done with the raid already. For the sake of those sponsors. Sponsors ruling over enjoyment in a game, it never helps it at all in the end. If Blizz wanted to balance things, Mythics should be coordinated somehow, just like E-sports are, or simply stop sponsoring Mythic races as E-sports. Now one of the toughests enemies we've seen in Azeroth is getting nerfed to be downed within 3 weeks of her first raid. I'm not saying she should 'survive' months over, that mentality should be behind, but to flat out cut things up to boot, just because 0-1% of the playerbase 'wants it'...
Sadly the race to world first is completely boring now. Will it be Method or Limit, oooooooh! But, that's...literally it. Those are your only options. Regular sports are boring if you're only watching the same two teams every time, which is what this feels like. With money and sponsors getting involved, it feels less and less like something exciting for the community. I definitely agree with some others in the thread regarding the nerf, though; prior to the world first kill, there should only be bug fixes to mythic, not nerfs, unless the fight is just stupid overtuned. That doesn't seem to be the case with Azshara, though from what I've seen. Is it hard? Yes. Impossible? No.The world first race shouldn't only cater to the <1% of the playerbase who practically game for a living. The Hall of Fame idea was a step in a good direction, but it's so imbalanced as to be laughable.
