beautiful as ever. \r\rwish blizzard would hurry up and hire this guy to remaster everything!
Great stuff, well done. And a reminder Blizz is apparently terrified of answer questions about the High Elves like how many are left, where are they, and what's happening to them given that it's canon only KT's followers took the title of Sin'dorei.Oh and the whole "BE Civil War Thing" since indeed the Blood Elves in the Horde are the ones who weren't loyal to Kael'thas and who ended up destroying him and untold thousands of their kin.Wait, what? So why are they called Blood Elves? They're specifically disloyal to the last Sunstrider and his pact with the Legion. Shouldn't they have called themselves something else? Goddamnit Blizz. You worked backwards on this didn't you? You started with "dude Blood Elves $%^& yeah," were sure you didn't want boring ol' (and copyright contestable) High Elves skanking up the place but wanted to keep some of the aesthetics, and eventually worked back to "cranky racist magic junkies" as your core subversion. Except you invested in Blood Elves too early instead of having KT declare himself something like "True king of the Quel'Dorei" before being destroyed and then having the triumphant rebels declare themselves Blood elves. So now we have this small but irritating problem of the Sin'dorei being both the people who survived two Legion attempts at wiping them out while also identifying as the traitors they slew. And of course the remaining High Elves, which you cannot decide between just off-handedly exterminating and making something of, sitting on the sidelines apparently being ghettoized in human cities. Or ..something. Oh except Void Elves except only some of them are Void Elves. Jesus christ Blizz this can't be that hard to get right. Oh right this is BfA content. No wonder it's ****....ugh.But anyway. Yeah, props IKE. Hard work done well. Blizz would do well to show you some love.
blizzard cinematic team has nothing on this guy! awesome job.

Kael'thas is such a nice character. It still bothers me how much of a waste it was killing him off... if only he had not fallen to corruption and actually led the Blood Elves.

Really appreciate it when fans do this... well done
There is some unnecessary camera movement there. The updated models are great but some of the effects (Al'ar fire) look out of place for World of Warcraft. The glass and statue shattering somehow looks worse in this than in the original. In my opinion he should just remake the cinematics frame by frame but with updated models and graphics.
I remember Patch 2.4 very fondly. It was definitely one of the better times to be playing WoW. That music takes me back to Quel'Danas dailies, Magister's Terrace runs, and Sunwell progression which I thoroughly enjoyed up until around Muru and KJ which then led to me taking a break until WotLK came out. Good times.

Everytime i think about Blood Elves, i see Kael'thas face, never Lor'themar. Even tho i love Lor'themar, it's no where near how much Kael'thas fits Blood Elves as Leader. It's Legacy even on Artworks to have him as front. \r\rJust imagine him coming back with a brand new amazing model, as they have been doing with all characters... Would be so great. \r\r\r\rSomething similar to this too.

So freaking good! I LOVE Belf lore, and that was one of my favorite patches too, even if it was shorter.

You couldn't go three steps in BE lands without hearing the praises of him. And THEN they reached Outlands and discovered KT's plans had changed.Oh indeed. And to be fair that transition is kind of blunt. You get to Shattrath, you meet Ad'al, everything changes. Legion gets around to implying the Naaru aren't quite as all-informed and\/or benevolent as they're sold as and this isn't helped by Illidan needing to be the center of everything with his "moral complexity."(\/sneer)But as the Sin'dorei go the "we're Blood Elves but not those Blood Elves" situation is typically poor TBC storytelling that Legion put some effort into cleaning up in addition to killing off every naaru they could put in the path of the plot. For them who think Kael'Thas was somehow misrepresented in Burning Crusade listen to the actual text of The Fury of the Sunwell not your nostalgia. Pay attention to the point where his exposition changes from describing the future of the Sin'dorei to describing his specific personal ambitions. There is a point where his hunger for power overcomes his concern for the Sin'dorei. He might be a tragic villain but he isn't a tragic hero and the difference is what he decided to do when the future became truly uncertain ie selling out to Legion for his own gain in an expansion the conception of which was "dude let's kill Illidan" and was designed backwards from there.Of course that can fairly be chalked up to TBC being such a cluster #$%^ of trying to do too much ("Mt. Hyjal and the Caverns of Time!: both a full scale raid and one of like 6 we added! Woooo! AND IT'S NOT THE END GAME!) while polishing too little.

See I was cruising a wiki for background on High Elves and Blood Elves and, following the history of Quel'dorei NPC's among Night Elves, ended on the Elegy page and I'd forgotten what Horde murder porn\/propaganda all that was and how it's supposed to be forgiven and forgotten because Saurfang did a special. That reminded me of all the "#SylvanusDidNothingWrong" we got for months after BfA launched and what can I say, kek, "triggered!1111"So that doesn't make me particularly forgiving of Blizz's past mistakes when they apparently can't learn from them. WoW really is remarkable for being an enormous and lucrative project that's so transparently lunging spasmodically from plot to plot twist with no concern for what Azeroth looks like in the wake of every planet-shaking catastrophe.Hopefully Classic is proving to be a lesson on the idea that players really like Azeroth for it's sense of place, of history and continuity and not for being a !@#$ty meme factory that fetes incels while treating it's history like it's something it's ashamed of.In essence I suppose it's the difference between being superb world builders and being competent story tellers. The two skill sets sound complimentary but frequently they are not. J.R.R. Tolkien is a strong example of the difficulty presented in being both.
Honestly, he did such a good job the original looks like it was made by a fan in fifteen minutes

beautiful as ever. \r\rwish blizzard would hurry up and hire this guy to remaster everything!\r\rBig true, I hope they'll do it soon, not to remaster but also for the new cinematic, The Rhythm of Chaos <3
I love his videos. He basically did the entire Warcraft 3 campaign as a cartoon.
