Finally. Hopefully a trade chat ban on adds comes next.
I wish i can macro out the right click report advertisement, i can do them blindflonded at this point. Is there like a way to ignore someone automatically when you report them? Pretty sure ignoring someone is account wide, so that will help me a lot with how much people i reporting
yes! more of this....! stop all that stupid.... publisity spam in group and trade chat...I main on Tarren Mill EU... and trade chat is useless... its just runs by so fast that its sad....SPAM.... selling boost.... SPAM SELLING BOOST..... I have just turned it off... so for me there are no trade chat... because of all this spam...BLIZZARD AMAZING WORK! keep this up...
I think the document itself is singular and thus a Code of Conduct would be appropriate where as in america Codes of conduct is the colloquial accepted phrase Its interchangable since a Code can refer to more than one rule at a time but codes of conduct is also there to reflect multiple rules.
Does this ban enforcement also apply to guild recruitment in the groupfinder or just sales? Although I agree that WTS spam is much more rampant.
I really don't mind the trade advertising so much, but having to sift through the dozens and dozens in the group finder each time you're not very specifically searching for something is a pain. I'll admit, I always report groups that advertise for homepages outside of blizzard property, that's just shady as heck (and not allowed if I recall). Glad to see this, but I doubt it will do anything, as those accounts are usually just burner-accounts anyhow. None of the carry-groups ever really advertise on their mains.
FINALLY! More this kind of action. Kick them all from Trade chat!
The funniest thing here is that as I’m reading this on mobile, there’s an add for M15 carries on WoWhead.
sweet
I report every single one of these i see and i'm glad it's actually doing something. :3Now if my reports of people spamming the same drivel in trade would bring the same.
and all the while people are going through trade chat Reporting Boosters to Mute them as well.
This started 2 years ago.https://www.wowhead.com/news=285321/in-game-advertising-policy-changes-for-group-finder
Just don't offer to boost people or ask for gold or anything just offer your time. just be a good Vet of WoW helping newer players
It's good if they start to take action against it. Group finder shouldn't be a place for advertisements. In a compromised world of mine there'd be a separate channel for these kind of services. Because I also find it a bit iffy that they are on trade chat. The added bonus would be: if people want it they know where to go and others whom are allergic to it won't see it.Edit: No, I don't report the ones on trade chat. While some can be annoying, it is allowed by Blizz.
Great, keep it up Blizz!
This updated policy was implemented some time ago -- it's the whole reason you can report that option specifically in group finder. Many people have already received mutes, but this is the first time I've seen a ban. Interesting stuff, there. I don't much mind the trade chat spam (it's easily filterable) but I do understand why they are cracking down on the group finder advertising.
Love this :)
