Cool! As long as it isn't usable in mythic + on release.
seems like a neat idealeave them out of M+
"Bring the player, not the class...." Ghostcrawler, 2009."Bring the Covenant not the class." Blizzard 2020
The checkpoint thing would make out required to bring a member of that covenant if this is active in mythic+.If it's not in mythic+ it's kind of pointless and will just make easy dungeons easier.
Cool, something more to balance in an expansion that already CANNOT be balanced. RPG, man!
Based on this, I think the intent will be to have M+ groups not have all of the same cov for potential skips or unique advantages. So if you end up having forced diversity seen on the high end to employ buffs/skips, then people not competing above +15 will see it's okay/encouraged to have a diverse group.
"LF geared NF +16 MTS"
As FallenDucK above said, long as it's not in M+ should be fine. Bonus for those that are in NIght Fae but not required.Much like Court of Stars had the Proffesion ones.
It's cool for flavor but sure reads like something that will make people demand specific covenants
Sounds cool, think it's fine in m+ as well. They should do something similar with professions, like you could open some passages with engineering or something. If people want perfect balance every dungeon should be a boring one way corridor
Glad to see some competition for M+. Venthyr was the favorite because of the Teleport.Playing beta I see necrolords also being mandatory for high keys due to the shield.
"We need one more melee. Get the DH, obviously.""But the ret is NF, DH isn't.""Oh, then get the ret."<3
I think the people posting "keep this out of mythic+" are missing the point. The entire reason this system exists is to give every covenant a base inherent value so even if one happens to be under represented for whatever reason their members will still always be in demand for their corresponding dungeons. It also has the ancillary benefit of creating situations where you may be incentivized to take an of meta spec with the proper covenant over a meta spec without it making it a bit easier for off meta players to find groups. This is an excellent addition to the game.
This is another flavor thing that is making me nervous. I get what they are going for here, and it sounds cool...but honestly...I really don't think this will end well. I hope I am wrong. Also, I really don't think this will be enough to break the meta at the high end. So, all this might well do is raise the difficulty of grouping at the lower end.
Patch 9.1 in LF Queue Mythic +15 LF *Put Meta Classe here* with the *put the best conventant for that dugeon here* with *put a high overgear value here* and *put a stuid amount of r.io here* +my suggestion would be to do something similar, like Court of Stars in the legion; but probably people would start using this to exclude people in lfg, which was not so common in Legion, but it has become very common in BFA
