i think these requirements are too easy,as nearly anyone could get the waking dream and terrific trio,we have the tecnology is already harder,but... rival and keystone master? they're the toughest mythic + and pvp achievements in BFA,no one who has them would want to use their time to help new players, but continue doing high level content,so this will result in either:the people who are supposed to be guides may know even less about some things than the new playersthere are going to be no guides,as the high level guys want to progress in shadowlands, not use their time in helping newbies.
you're right,it's terrible that someone would think they need rewards for helping new playersi would like to join the helping, but i have limited time to play each day,and it takes all of that just to do the weekly and daily content in wow
Why in the world is a "new player help" system gated behind end-game requirements?I think requirements that emphasize someone has been playing the game consistently for a long period of time would be better. Things like all classes leveled to max, loremaster achievements, reputation achievements, crafting achievements. Rather than biasing towards someone who is active in the current endgame, having requirements that show activity in multiple successive expansions (i.e., you've finished the storyline in 3 out of the last 4 expansions) seem a lot more useful. As has been pointed out, when I help new players they aren't asking about mythic raiding, or rated PvP. They're asking what an exclamation point means, or how they can get a dragon mount, or why they keep getting kicked out of dungeons.
Damn i thought i need Battle for Azeroth Keystone Conqueror: Season Four cause i hate mythics and don't have that achiv but atleast i got all the other
I would like to see categories of mentors where new players who are interested in other things besides gearing and raiding. WoW has so much to offer besides hardcore play. People who want a more casual playstyle but are unfamiliar with MMOs in general or WoW in particular will not be given the mentorship that endgame players are obviously getting.
Requirements should be a lot higher.AotC, M+15s within timer.Too many people can easily get LFR or 10s.
I absolutely think that the most important part is that you’re willing to help others, and that you’re patient. A mentor is definitely going to be asked questions that could be considered stupid, but might still be sincere. You don’t need to be a CE raider or a Gladiator to be a good mentor. It is enough to be able to direct people to places where they can find that type of specific information! For this kind of system to make any sense at all, the requirements can’t be too low, because that wouldn’t help anyone - but they can’t be too high either or you’d end up with not enough eligible people who are actually mentally suited for mentor ship. Top rate PvP:ers are rarely known for their patience, CE raiders might not give a flying f*** about lore (although I’m sure many do), and Loremasters might not be interested in grinding keystones every single week. Diversity is what matters. I hope they’ll let you choose what areas you feel comfortable mentoring in when you sign up, and then direct the newbie to someone who can answer. Personally, I’m pretty knowledgeable about a lot of things, but I suck at PvP. Always have, always will. But I’m great with lore, and I already help people whenever I can. I’ll likely sign up.
Late to the party, but....those required achievements are asinine.I'm played for 15 years now, have 30 max level characters, with at least one in every single class, and well over 24k achievement points, but I'm not considered "good enough" to mentor because I don't have the time to hardcore raid or pvp in the last expac? That makes total sense.
What is the point of this?
They should add petbattle and transmog related qualifications options too, those are the true endgame
