New WoW (Video) Podcast w/ Lore and My Chinhawk
Lore and I have teamed up with Gary Gannon at
Gamebreaker.TV
to start a new podcast for World of Warcraft. We realize that there are plenty of podcasts already in circulation, but we feel that we can carry the show better than most thanks to the wide variety of hair styles involved. *badumTSS*

Cataclysm Beta: New Data!
We've pushed another amazing update to the Cataclysm site in the form of more user-collected data. If you head over to our
Latest Additions
page you will find out that we have added
163 new items
, most of which seem to be heroic dungeon gear!
You'll find many awesome items you'll be able to gather at level 85, such as
Schädelknackerring
(which will be awesome for any rogue or feral druid). There are even some new quests and NPCs in this update.

Beta Raid Testing Schedule
Looks like we are finally going to get a chance to test the new Cataclysm raids! On Sunday
October 17th
at 13:00 PDT beta testers will be able to test the
Omnitron Defense System
in
Pechschwingenabstieg
and
Halfus Wyrmbreaker
in
Die Bastion des Zwielichts
.
If you plan to take a trip into either instance this weekend we would hope you are running the
Wowhead Client
to help gather data for the encounters!
We're going to start testing a few raid encounters on all Beta servers this Sunday, October 17 at 13:00 PDT. Two encounters will be tested:
Omnitron Defense System in Blackwing Descent
Halfus Wyrmbreaker in The Bastion of Twilight
Blackwing Descent is a raid zone with an entrance located along the side of Blackrock Mountain.
The Bastion of Twilight's entrance is located within Twilight Highlands.
Since these are the beta realms, this schedule is subject to change at a moment's notice due to bugs and server issues. More raid tests will be occurring over the next few weeks.

Hotfix for Violet Proto-Drake and Master Riding
A hotfix is being deployed for players who are obtaining
Zügel des violetten Protodrachen
through

, currently as it stands you do not receive
Meisterhaftes Reiten
(310% flight speed) upon getting the drake. With this hotfix when you obtain the drake you will automatically learn the new Master Riding skill.
I provided an update in the lengthy thread about Master riding, so in case it gets missed I'm throwing it up in its own non-sticky thread for now.

I have a slight update to spread to the masses. We are going to be adding a hotfix for the achievement What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been. This hotfix will make it so that obtaining the Reins of the Violet Proto-Drake will award players Master riding.
The way in which 310% will be awarded is going to be a little quirky at first, but we plan to make it a more smooth process in a future patch. For now, you will need 280% flying in order to learn to use the Violet Proto-Drake. Once you mount the drake for the first time it will teach Master ri

We've got another update for that sneaky Cataclysm Beta build from today, this time with more models! This new set includes
Tier 11
for both
Hunters
and
Paladins
!
Honestly I think the Paladin set looks pretty bad-ass and really makes me want to finish leveling mine. Also which hunter doesn't want to wear MURLOCS as part of their tier set? I know I would! You can check out all these new sets and more after the break.

we have a leaked picture of what seems to be the major goodie in this years BlizzCon 2010 bag.
"Dethling"
is a maquette, read: scale model, based on the big bad ass - Deathwing. Much like last year's Jim Raynor n00bz figure you won't be able to purchase this item in the stores! Looks like BlizzCon attendees are in for a special treat after all!

Cataclysm Model Update - Death Knight Tier 11 and Recolors!
We've got some more
Tier 11
3D goodness to share with you guys today - including the new
Death Knight
set (in three different colors)! We've also found recolors of both the
Mage
and
Shaman
sets!
I think Blizzard must have forgotten to make the other plate sets as cool as the Death Knight one. I mean, I'm already crying for my warrior - this new plate set looks amazing, even if the helm does make you look like a demonic

AddOn Developer Kit Moved to Support Site
With the recent release of Patch 4.0.1, AddOn authors may have noticed the

Wowhead: Justice Points Filters Now Available
The developers here at Wowhead have been slaving away in an effort to make our main site compatible with 4.0.1. While they were at it, they added a new feature that you will all enjoy:
Justice Points
costs are now displayed on items!
There is even a new
filter
option so you can check out all the costs for items. This new feature is also extended to the new Honor Points, and even Conquest and Valor points once we are Cataclysm-bound.
You may notice we don't have costs for everything that should have cost. Well, fear not! If you are running the
Wowhead Client
and see anything that is missing we should have the information in the very near future.

Cataclysm Bonus Model Update - New Tree of Life Form!
We're not going to sleep yet! We've got what appears to be a new model for the druid's
Inkarnation: Baum des Lebens
form, possibly still a work-in-progress! Since it is no longer a permanent form and is instead a temporary shapeshift, Blizzard has stated that they want to make it more special and exotic. This is definitely a step in...
some
direction. As a resto druid going on my fifth year, I personally consider this quite a welcome step up from the scraggly ol' treant of the days past. I can only hope one day that Blizzard allows us to choose our shapeshift form skins independently. And hey - maybe we'll get that

update after all!

This latest build included new Tier 11 armor set models for Mage, Priest and Shaman, adding to the already discovered Warrior, Druid, Rogue and Warlock armor sets.
