Cataclysm Model Update - Death Knight Tier 11 and Recolors!
We've got some more
Tier 11
3D goodness to share with you guys today - including the new
Death Knight
set (in three different colors)! We've also found recolors of both the
Mage
and
Shaman
sets!
I think Blizzard must have forgotten to make the other plate sets as cool as the Death Knight one. I mean, I'm already crying for my warrior - this new plate set looks amazing, even if the helm does make you look like a demonic

Wowhead: Justice Points Filters Now Available
The developers here at Wowhead have been slaving away in an effort to make our main site compatible with 4.0.1. While they were at it, they added a new feature that you will all enjoy:
Justice Points
costs are now displayed on items!
There is even a new
filter
option so you can check out all the costs for items. This new feature is also extended to the new Honor Points, and even Conquest and Valor points once we are Cataclysm-bound.
You may notice we don't have costs for everything that should have cost. Well, fear not! If you are running the
Wowhead Client
and see anything that is missing we should have the information in the very near future.

Cataclysm Bonus Model Update - New Tree of Life Form!
We're not going to sleep yet! We've got what appears to be a new model for the druid's
Inkarnation: Baum des Lebens
form, possibly still a work-in-progress! Since it is no longer a permanent form and is instead a temporary shapeshift, Blizzard has stated that they want to make it more special and exotic. This is definitely a step in...
some
direction. As a resto druid going on my fifth year, I personally consider this quite a welcome step up from the scraggly ol' treant of the days past. I can only hope one day that Blizzard allows us to choose our shapeshift form skins independently. And hey - maybe we'll get that
Mondkingestalt
update after all!
Get your "HULK SMASH!" shapeshift macros ready, boys and girls. Don't forget to click on a model to check it out in our 3D model viewer!
Update:
The Flash versions of these models are now available!

This latest build included new Tier 11 armor set models for Mage, Priest and Shaman, adding to the already discovered Warrior, Druid, Rogue and Warlock armor sets. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be new armor models for Hunter, Death Knight or Paladin just yet, but you can be sure that when they're in the files, they'll be on the site. I know we all can't wait to make fun of the latest Paladin frocks, right? I've included all of the current Tier 11 armor sets in this post, and you can be sure that they'll be added to our [u

Cataclysm Site Updated! Lil'Ragnaros, Lil' Alexstrasza and More!
HEY! Over here! Stop drooling over 4.0.1 for a moment and check out the latest updates to our

there's a guide for that

Nevertheless, we've done some pretty big updates to our Cataclysm site yesterday and today, containing lots of new items - mostly Rare-quality items but remember, in Cataclysm we're going to be using blues again, not zerging our way to epics on our first day at level 85, so don't forget to look through 'em all!
Blizzard has added two new companion pet spells -

Wowhead Completion Tracker Temporarily Disabled
So with the addition of the new patch this evening, you may have realized—the
Wowhead Profiler
is going to need some serious tweaking!
The latest patch brings a bunch of radical changes to the
stat system
, and as such a bunch of changes to the way our Profiler does its calculations. The new Armory site isn't up yet, but when it goes up we're going to put together a massive Profiler update, not just to the way statistics are calculated but also to the way that quests, recipes, mounts and such are tracked.
Unfortunately, this means that
the Completion Tracker is temporarily under maintenance.
We'll keep you updated!

4.0.1: Glyphs, Streaming and Class Changes!
Blizzard has gone on an announcement spree! Hopefully they are trying to hint 4.0.1 is tomorrow...
The first announcement concerns the changes to glyphs in 4.0.1. As many of you all know, the Glyph system is getting a complete overhaul. Each player will have 3 different kinds of glyphs:
Prime Glyphs
which increase which give a direct increase to abilities (such as
Ausgebrannte Glyphe
and
Glyphe 'Orca'
),
Major Glyphs
which augment spells or give them additional utility (like
Ausgebrannte Glyphe
or
Ausgebrannte Glyphe
), and
Minor Glyphs
which provide additional convenience or cosmetic changes (like
Glyphe 'Leuchtender Vorreiter'
and
Ausgebrannte Glyphe
).
The next announcement is about the new Streaming Launcher. You'll notice that in the new launcher you will see a bar which changes colours. While the bar is red the game is downloading core game files and you won't be able to play just yet. Yellow means you can play but there will be a lot of downloading while playing, and game play will not be fast. Green means good to go and you should be able to play with very little download

WoW Reaches 12 Million Subscribers
You know, just when you think WoW has FINALLY plateaued, they hit another milestone.
I caught an article on CNET this morning referencing a
press release
from Activision-Blizzard, announcing that they have reached a monumental
12 million subscribers
. That's active subscribers, too—the press release defines subscribers as "...individuals who have paid a subscription fee or have an active prepaid card to play World of Warcraft, as well as those who have purchased the game and are within their free month of access."
The CNET article goes on to make some somewhat laughable claims about what this means for the future of WoW (for instance, that if we use Everquest as a guide, we can predict that WoW will release 480 expansions over its lifespan), but the core number is astounding. Even now, when everyone is kind of waiting for Cataclysm to start everything back up again, WoW's subscribers are still increasing.
